I really threw this page away, huh!

In my defense….

I really hate being that person who’s always saying sorry always apologizing. I also hate being inconsistent… but consistency keeps slipping through my fingers. To be fair, I’ve never truly been consistent. Right now, I’m back to basics learning, re-learning, and trying to create again. And let me tell you: creating content is rough.

So far, I’ve managed to put out three newsletters, I’m on video three in my fun demo series, but I haven’t posted a single blog here since February. Or March since I deleted the last blog.

I don’t have a good excuse. My brain has been fizzing, on and off, and I’ve been following wherever it takes me. So, this first post back will just be a roundup of everything I’ve created since my last blog. From there, we keep moving. More blogs, more rhythm. Hopefully.

A new video series: Fun Demo Fridays….

When you reach the end of a learning journey, the natural next step is creating. For me, teaching has always come first and while I love it, it often leaves little room for building things just for fun. So I started this series to carve out that space. A space to create, share demos, and talk about what I’ve built and what you can build too, using the tools and tech available.

I’ve learned a lot along the way. I’ve made a ton of mistakes too. But that’s the point: we live, we learn, and we build.

🎥 Here are all the episodes so far. New ones drop every Friday!

Three newsletters later….

On February 13, 2024, I launched the ABCD of AI newsletter with a hopeful little intro post. And then… crickets. Nothing followed for weeks. But fast forward one year (and two weeks later), I finally published a newsletter! And now? Your girl is three newsletters in, and we’re finally finding some structure. 🎉

Writing these has taught me a lot especially about how to bring ideas together in a cohesive way. The catch? The structure still needs refining. There’s a lot of Bethany and not quite enough AI. Time to balance that out, yeah?

And another thing they aren’t frequent enough. Publishing every four weeks doesn’t build consistent connection. So, I’m aiming to shift to a bi-weekly cadence. Right now, the newsletters go out every third week of the month, but soon? You’ll also see them in the first week too.

My blogs that sit elsewhere…….

I’ve been writing blogs, just not here! Most of them have been focused on building cool things, and they even inspired my Fun Friday Demo series. Lately, I’ve been working on building consistency in the small things like always using the same blog banner (it’s the little rituals, right?).

I do this often now. Here are some of the blogs I’ve written recently:

The speaking events and things I have been part of the organizing…

Okay, as a developer advocate, events are core to my being. I’ve been part of so many lately, which is probably one of the main reasons I’ve been a bit MIA.

Speaking at events? That’s part of the job. Organizing them? That’s a whole mountain on top of a hill.

Here are a few things I’ve been working on behind the scenes:

Is that it?

Creation, for me, is multi-faceted. I’ve been on the move and creating and drawing, because that’s where my joy lives. I’ve slowly been making my way back to TikTok and sharing more updates on Instagram. Here are some of the highlights:

Forgiven, I hope…

So… does this validate all the posts I’ve not made? Maybe. But looking back, I’m genuinely proud of the process so far. Moving forward, I’m doubling down on consistency because that’s where things tend to fall apart. The ball drops. The earth shakes. Chaos.

Thanks for sticking around this far see you in the next post!
